Climate-Smart & Productive-Use Solutions
Empowering Communities, Preserving Resources, and Building Climate Resilience
Sustainability begins where people live and work. At Green Maple Energy Solutions Ltd., our Climate-Smart and Productive-Use Solutions are designed to bridge the gap between clean energy access and everyday livelihoods — transforming how African communities preserve food, store medicine, move water, and power local economies.
In many parts of Africa, unreliable electricity, post-harvest losses, and weak cold-chain systems have long hindered productivity and food security. Green Maple addresses these challenges by deploying solar-powered cold storage, off-grid refrigeration systems, and electric transport solutions that run entirely on renewable energy. Each solution reduces emissions, improves income opportunities, and strengthens resilience against climate-related disruptions.
Our solar freezer cold rooms, available in 20-foot and 40-foot configurations, are engineered to support agriculture, fisheries, and food distribution networks. Equipped with hybrid solar-battery systems, smart temperature control, and efficient insulation, these units maintain reliable cooling performance without dependence on grid power. They help reduce post-harvest losses by up to 70%, extend shelf life for perishables, and stabilize rural income for farmers, traders, and cooperatives.
Beyond storage, our Electric Solar Refrigerated Vehicles and Electric Cargo Tricycles bring clean mobility into agricultural logistics. These vehicles ensure that perishable goods travel from farms to markets under consistent cooling conditions — reducing waste, lowering transport costs, and replacing diesel vehicles with zero-emission alternatives. Our Electric Water Tank Tricycles, capable of carrying up to 5,000 liters, expand access to clean water in remote and peri-urban areas, improving health outcomes and reducing reliance on fuel-powered pumps.
Each of these systems is built for durability and ease of maintenance in African conditions. Green Maple prioritizes local assembly (SKD/CKD) and capacity development, training technicians to operate, maintain, and adapt our climate-smart solutions. This approach supports technology transfer, enhances local employment, and embeds long-term sustainability directly into the communities we serve.
These initiatives align with Nigeria’s National Agricultural Technology and Innovation Policy (NATIP), Energy Transition Plan (ETP), and the Climate Change Act, which together aim to strengthen food systems while advancing low-carbon development. By coupling renewable energy with productive applications — cooling, water access, processing, and logistics — we empower communities to adapt to climate impacts and participate in the green economy.
For farmers, our systems mean fewer losses and greater profits. For local governments, they mean resilient infrastructure that supports food security and public health. For development partners, they offer scalable models for climate adaptation and economic empowerment — demonstrating that renewable energy is not only about power, but about possibility.
At Green Maple, our vision of sustainability extends beyond technology; it is about creating circular value chains that connect clean power to productivity, resilience, and human dignity. Every cold room, tricycle, and solar-powered solution we deliver represents a step toward a future where Africa’s communities thrive under the light of clean energy.
At Green Maple, we’re redefining how energy serves people, businesses, and cities — creating smarter, cleaner, and more connected systems that power progress sustainably.
